Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or joining a club on Swan Society, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What Swan Society Is
Swan Society is currently in a founding member / beta period. That means the product is still evolving, features may change, and you may encounter bugs. Some features — including book shortlists, discussion questions, and host package suggestions (décor, food and drink pairings) — are generated with AI and are intended as creative starting points, not professional or safety advice. Please use your own judgment, especially around food and drink suggestions (allergies, dietary restrictions, etc.).
Accounts & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up.
Founding Membership & Pricing
As a founding member, you're joining during our free, invite-only beta. Swan Society Pro (additional host features) is planned for the future with pricing to be announced. We will not begin charging you for any paid tier without clear advance notice and your affirmative consent.
Your Content
When you submit a book nomination, discussion response, reading note, or other content, you retain ownership of it. You grant Swan Society a license to display that content within your club to other club members, for the purpose of operating the service.
AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Book shortlists, discussion questions, and host package materials (décor concepts, food/drink pairings) may be generated using AI tools. We do our best to make sure suggestions are relevant and useful, but we don't guarantee their accuracy, safety, or suitability for your specific event. Please review AI-generated suggestions — particularly food and drink ideas — before acting on them.
Amazon Associates Disclosure
Swan Society is a participant in the Amazon Associates program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn commissions by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, Swan Society earns from qualifying purchases made through book links on this site, at no additional cost to you.
Acceptable Use
Please don't use Swan Society to harass other members, post content you don't have rights to, or attempt to disrupt or exploit the service. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Termination
You may stop using Swan Society and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Swan Society is provided “as is” during this founding member period, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Swan Society and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including issues arising from AI-generated suggestions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves, especially as we move out of beta. We'll do our best to notify founding members of material changes.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
